Sports October 2019

Sports October 2019 is the beginning of the season for Football, Basketball and Hockey and the end of the Baseball season

October once again did not let us sport fans down. It started from day one, October 1, when the Washington Nationals beat the Milwaukee Brewers in the wild card MLB playoffs.

Then from October 2 until the 30th Sports October 2019we started the playoffs from round 1 all the way to the World Series.

However, for us Dodger fans, it was very disappointing to see the Dodgers get wiped out in game five of the matchup between the Dodgers and the Nationals.

Lot of fans were upset with Kershaw for blowing a two run lead and fans were especially upset with Dave Roberts with the circus of pitchers that ended with the Dodgers losing 7 to 3. www.dodgers.com

Personally, I blame the coach, Dave Roberts. In my opinion, he chokes when it comes to the playoffs, including the two prior World Series games in 2017 and 2018.

Roberts selected the wrong pitchers over and over again. Unfortunately for us ‘True Blue’ fans, once again we must wait until next year.

However, I really don’t know if anything will change, yes the Dodgers will probably win their division next year and they even might make it to the World Series, but as long as Dave Roberts is the one is charge, it will be a miracle for the Dodgers to win the World Series in 2020.

Congratulation to the Washington Nationals for winning the World Series against the Houston Astros. It was a great way to end the baseball season for 2019. www.Mlb.com

October also saw the start of the National Hockey League. The Ducks of Anaheim come out strong in October and hopefully they will continue the run of wins, however the LA Kings had a bit of trouble at the beginning of October, but managed to get to together somewhat. www.NHL.com

He approached Hardy in 2004 with an idea for the future.

We are so fortunate to have not just one, but two hockey teams here is Southern CA and whether you are a Kings fan or a Ducks fan, doesn’t really matter, just like if you prefer the LA Angels or the LA Dodgers, doesn’t matter, you want both teams to do well at least until they play each other.

The same cannot be said for the fans of the LA Clippers or the LA Kings. For whatever reason, most fans of the Lakers, and not fans of the Clippers and the same goes for the Clipper fans.

By the way, the National Basketball League (NBA) also started in the month of October, and for the most part both the Lakers and the Clippers look good, better than they did last year as of this time.

It is still early in the season, and hopefully they will both improve. www.NBA.com

October is one of the few months that you are juggling your time watching the games, I would be trying to watch the baseball playoffs, along with Football and even a basketball game at the same time.

By October, not only are we watching National Football, but also College Football as well.

LA has two National football teams; both the LA Rams and the LA Charges, and for the most part they are both doing well. www.nfl.com

The same cannot be said for our local college teams, USC and UCLA. USC is at least showing up for the games and have even won a few; however, the same cannot be said UCLA.

Their Coach, Chip Kelly, doesn’t seem to be a good fit for the team. By the end of October UCLA has only won 3 and lost 5. Whereas, USC has won 5 and lost 3. www.NCCAfootball.com.

Not only has College Football started but College Basketball is right behind them with a starting date of November 5, 2019.

To wrap this up there is a whole lot of sports that was played in the month of October and I didn’t even mention high school football, basketball or water polo.

The month of November will see a slight deduction in the number of sports played but not in the actual games played. We will see an increase in the amount of basketball, football and hockey games to make up for the loss of baseball and until next baseball season starts, that’s a good thing.
